NICOLA PAGANI

Graduated from the Institute of Restoration in Rome (PFP4 ceramic, vitreous and organic materials, and artifacts. Materials and artifacts in metal and alloys) with a thesis entitled “The Barberini chariot of Palestrina, restoration study and reconstructive hypotheses” thesis in which a 3D model was created and used for the purpose of formulating reconstructive hypotheses.

Since 2016 he has been working as a freelance restorer for public and private Museums and
Institutions, in Italy and abroad (Sultanate of Oman, Republic of Iraq and Bosnia Herzegovina and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan).

Collaborated with the Institute of Restoration in several projects concerning the use
of 3D technology and 3D modelling.
Took part in international missions to Baghdad, Republic of Iraq, supported by the Italian
Agency for Cooperation and Development as a restoration lecturer within the project of
“Support to the institutional action of protection and recovery of Iraqi cultural heritage”.

He also performed an assignment as a tutor for the international training course for students of Algerian nationality, held at the headquarters of the Institute of Restoration in Rome on the topic of integration of ceramic artifacts.

In the field of teaching, he has collaborated with public and private institutions, receiving teaching assignments and seminars for regular courses and international projects focused on the topic of restoration and conservation of ceramic, vitreous and organic, metal artifacts.
