ALBERTO SUCATO
Alberto Sucato has achieved both technical-practical and theoretical-historical degrees in art conservation.
In 1996, he received a degree from the Istituto Centrale del Restauro as a Restorer of paintings and marbles; in 2000, he received a degree in Art History from the Università di Roma - La Sapienza with a dissertation on Barocco's fresco painting technique as evidenced in Rome.
He has participated and has been chief conservator of projects of important frescoes, canvas, paintings on wood, marbles and stucco works: Daniele da Volterra's Descent from the Cross; Roman Wall Paintings in the Imperial Chamber of the Luxor Temple in Egypt (USAID, ARCE, Chicago House); Dosso Dossi's Virgin and Child Enthroned with Saints George and Michael; Byzantine Basilica of Red Monastery in Egypt (USAID, ARCE).
