Temple of Olympian Zeus

We also had the opportunity to visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus, expertly guided by Michaelis Lefantzis, architect, head of the Department of Archaeological Works & Studies at Ephorate of Antiquities of Athens. It was a unique chance to see the monument so much up close, which would not have been possible without the scaffolding. The view from above was breathtaking, also because of the unique viewpoint!
